Sponsor Impact Stories
Jasmine's Story
When three-year-old Jasmine and her mother Tanya arrived at BrightRoots, Tanya was recovering from a difficult year that had left the family without stable housing. A community donor sponsored Jasmine's enrollment, and she joined the Preschool Readiness program that fall. Over the next year, Jasmine blossomed. She went from a shy, anxious child to a confident learner who loved circle time, art projects, and playing with her classmates. Tanya attended weekly workshops and connected with a caseworker who helped the family secure permanent housing. Jasmine graduated from the School Readiness Initiative the following summer and entered kindergarten on track in every developmental area.
The Abadi Family
Fatima and Yusuf Abadi, recently resettled refugees, were sponsored by a local faith community. The sponsorship covered enrollment for their two children, aged two and four, and gave Fatima access to workshops where she built English language skills alongside parenting strategies. The family's BrightRoots experience helped them build connections in their new community and gave their children the strong educational foundation they needed to thrive.
How to Sponsor
Sponsoring a family is simple and deeply rewarding. You can sponsor in several ways:
Individual Sponsorship -- $500
A single gift of $500 sponsors one family for a full year. You will receive a thank-you letter from the sponsored family (with their permission), a year-end impact summary detailing how your gift was used, and recognition on the BrightRoots donor wall (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).
Shared Sponsorship
Cannot sponsor a full family on your own? Gather friends, coworkers, or family members to contribute together. Any combination of gifts totaling $500 counts as a full sponsorship, and all contributors receive recognition and a shared impact report.
Group Sponsorship
Civic organizations, faith communities, school groups, and service clubs can sponsor one or more families as a group project. BrightRoots provides promotional materials and coordination support to help your group rally around this meaningful cause.
Gift Sponsorship
Family sponsorships make meaningful gifts for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and memorials. Dedicate a sponsorship in someone's honor and BrightRoots will send a personalized notification to the honoree or their family along with your message.
Frequently Asked Questions

Will I know how my sponsorship was used? Absolutely. You will receive a year-end impact summary that details how your sponsored family participated in programs and the outcomes achieved. Personal details are shared only with the family's written consent.
Can I sponsor more than one family? Yes. Many donors sponsor multiple families, and some make it an annual tradition. There is no limit on the number of families you can sponsor.
